SouthSide Welcomes New Downtown Pre-K Program Director!

We are thrilled to announce that Emily Ruth has accepted the position of Program Director at our Downtown SLLIS location! Together with the passionate team at SLLIS, Emily is ready to help make the new school year a good one!

For 9 years, Emily has been a dedicated lead classroom teacher at SouthSide in the toddler rooms. Her unwavering commitment and passion have made a lasting impact on countless children throughout the years.

Emily's impressive career doesn't stop there! She has recently completed her master's certificate of management and leadership in early childhood and is currently on her way to completing her master's degree in early childhood education, further expanding her knowledge and expertise in her field.

Beyond her role as an educator, Emily has made a significant impact as a valued member of the Community Leaders Cabinet for Flourish St. Louis. Working alongside fellow community members, she has played a vital role in providing strategic direction to achieve a sustained reduction in infant mortality within our community. Her dedication to making a positive difference is truly admirable.

In addition to her professional achievements, Emily embraces the joy of family life. She is married with a four-year-old daughter who has been part of our SouthSide family since infancy.
