Story of the Week!

Today was a perfect day for Room 5 to take a field trip to Eckert's in the "field work" phase of their study of trees! Led by Ms. Jackie and Ms. Brooke, bundled into their new coats from Coat-a-Kid, these 3, 4 and 5 year olds were ready for a hands-on lesson about trees. After picking some apples, they sat together with their clipboards and pencils to draw their own impressions of the beautiful apple trees they saw all around them. 

Tomorrow's large group discussion will focus on all the interesting facts they learned about trees. Over the next few days, their renderings will be posted in the classroom and the hallways. These little learners are future problem solvers - scientists, politicians, teachers, engineers ... the sky's the limit!
